Areas of Focus

Emma is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received her Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University.

She has experience working with individuals of all ages, from diverse backgrounds, in a variety of practice settings. She utilizes a multi-disciplinary, strength-based, and client-centered approach and believes that a positive therapeutic relationship is key to creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment in which to explore struggles and strengths, align with values, and work towards your goals.

Emma understands that every person has a distinct set of circumstances and experiences that have led them to where they are today. She uses this broad lens to guide her approach while also seeking to deeply understand your personal aspirations and reasons for coming to therapy so that she can empower and support you on your journey. Emma sees the therapist/client relationship as a collaborative one in which the client is the expert on their own lives and her role as therapist is to listen and empathize while also gently challenging and offering alternative perspectives to foster growth and greater self-awareness.

Outside of the office, Emma enjoys being active outdoors, cooking and eating good food, and spending time with loved ones.
