3 Tips for Managing Anxiety

Are you just completely overwhelmed with anxiety? Here are 3 helpful tips from Eugene Therapy to help:

  1. Take a deep breath. When you’re overwhelmed with anxiety it’s easy to forget to breath, so take a deep breath to calm your nerves before taking your next step.

  2. Focus on the right now. Commonly, anxiety is provoked with a future issue, so if there is nothing you can do about it right now, take a deep breath and try to focus on the now.

  3. Focus on meaningful activities; something that will help calm you down. In order to appropriately work through what is stressing you out, you must first be calm. Find an activity that really calms your nerves and let that be your ‘go to’ when you’re stressed out, whether it be something peaceful like knitting, or active like basketball.
